We will meet at catholic charities and invite the homeless to participate first at 215 W 9th St. I'll be there around 11:30am CST Minnesota time
90min of civil disobedience at noon, from 12:00-1:30pm CST Minnesota time
There is a wild game at 1pm. The protest should take 90min. There are three ramps to target the large river center ramp will take about 30 people to block two large entrances the lower entrance, and the Kellog entrance. The smith Ave ramp has one entrance and having 10 people cover it should be sufficient. The river center underground ramp also has one entrance and will require about 10.
145 Smith has one entrance to block by at least five people. 129 Kellogg blvd has one entrance to block with at least five people. The big river center ramp would require at least 20 people to shut down the two-car entrances that are large.
To be fully protected fully by the first amendment you will have flyers to hand out for "canvassing" as people walk by.
You must keep walking in a circle as a group in a pattern to keep the entrance covered. This movement will ensure we comply with city ordinances and avoid citations.
We were able to test this process on constitution day Tuesday the 17th without arrest or citation we shut down a ramp!
So join a movement by, of, and for the poor. Let's tell our leaders we demand justice for the homeless, we want accountable law enforcement, a city council that values our historical treasures and community!
Keep out of the street, stay on the sidewalk, stay calm and PEACEFUL.
